Who we are

I’m Grace, a full-stack engineer, dessert enjoyer, and dedicated boba drinker. I design and create the artwork that goes into all of our merchandise!
And I’m Justin, a STEM educator, avid language learner, and tea enthusiast! I handle most of our business logistics, communication, and publicity.
We started butter and boba in 2025 as a way to share our hobbies, interests, ideas, and joys with the world through a fun and cute artistic lens.
What we do
In a word, art! We create designs inspired by our lives and experiences with food and drink, nature, San Francisco, language, and our cultural identities as Asian-Americans.
From stickers and pins to playing cards and prints, our artwork is perfect for gifts and souvenirs, or if you’re just looking for something to brighten up your room ☀️
